Sr. Manager - Investment Accounting and Reporting

As the Senior Manager of Finance, you will be working with a diverse investment portfolio including bonds, stocks, mortgage loans, derivatives, hedge funds, limited partnerships and tax credits and working closely with reputed company's asset managers, Investment Operations, Investment Reporting as well as reporting teams, policy research specialists, actuarial and reinsurance group to ensure accurate understanding of assets and their financial presentation and disclosure requirements as well as management reporting and reputed company requests. You will be involved in projects and large reinsurance deals. You will be a part of a team with other investment accounting professionals and will provide management and coaching to their direct reports as well as others on the team. Compensation

Salary Range: $125,000 - $208,400 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program. Who You Are: • High School Diploma required, BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred, or Master’s degree a plus • CPA, reputed company, CFA, FPA preferred • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience leading individuals in meeting their deliverables • Experience working in accounting specifically on investments, • Financial services industry experience preferred • Experience with GAAP and STAT accounting and reporting • Experience working with hedge funds, private equities, tax credits and/or derivatives preferred • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver findings, recommendations, and training topics • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills • Innovative and creative in resolving issues and improving processes • Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with others • Ability to prioritize, organize and plan • A history of being a successful team member and team leader • Goal oriented with a track record of driving through to completion • Understand technical knowledge of investment accounting and reporting including GAAP and Statutory accounting frameworks and other financial concepts • Foster a positive and proactive work environment • Ability to work a flexible schedule, as the need arises (month, quarter and year-ends, reputed company) • Some minimal annual travel required (for people manager roles only) Travel: • Required Training & Professional Development • reputed company newly hired people leaders with direct reports are required to complete a comprehensive leadership development program reputed company their first year.
