Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer - C++ Job Code: 20604 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Senior Specialist, Software Engineering, designs, develops and extensively tests reputed company engineering solutions for advanced tactical radio operating system and waveform software. Works closely with cross-functional members of the engineering organization to reputed company and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system. Participates in reputed company phases of the software development life cycle. Essential Functions: • Proficient with embedded C/C++, object-oriented design, real-time, multi-threaded programming • Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks RTOS, Linux, QNX) • Ability to quickly analyze and understand large and reputed company existing software systems • Ability to reputed company software test procedures, software programs, and reputed company documentation • Ability to identify, track, and repair software defects • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment • Ability to clearly and succinctly convey information and reputed company • Must be able to obtain a US reputed company clearance Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior reputed company experience.
