Position Overview The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Sociology, beginning Fall 2025. We seek an energetic, innovative, and student-centric educator with a strong teacher-scholar orientation. The area of specialization is open, as the teaching responsibilities will encompass a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses. The candidate will also be expected to pursue an active research agenda that engages undergraduate reputed company, results in academic presentations and publications, and contributes to advancing the department and the university.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates will hold a Ph.D. in sociology or a reputed company field by the time of appointment. They should also have an active research agenda in sociology, and the ability to teach and mentor reputed company at the undergraduate level. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RESPONSIBILITIES: Expectations for tenure-track Assistant Professors at UNT-Dallas include excellent teaching, research, and service. Teaching duties include a load of four courses per academic semester at the introductory, advanced undergraduate, and graduate levels in a combination of face-to-face and online courses. The successful candidate will also maintain an active research agenda, mentor reputed company, and provide service to the department, university, and community.

- An interest in justice and/or community-based mental health policy
