Entry Level Wind Technician
Are you interested in a career in wind? Do you have 3-4 years of experience in construction, a military background and/or have worked on the road in a hands-on mechanical-type role? STL USA's WindStart training program has several employer sponsorship places available for people who can pass the 4-step application process. The WindStart training program includes:
- A range of wind industry qualifications
- An overview of wind turbines, how they work and how they are maintained
- A guaranteed job with your employer sponsor
Prerequisites for the program:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel for training and then work
- Willingness to relocate across the US
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs in weight
Employer-sponsored places on the program mean all tuition fees are paid for, help can be provided for accommodation also.
