We are currently looking for a full time Customer Technical Service Rep for our Pet Food division to serve as the main technical contact for TC customers in support of the TC sales team. Provides process assistance and material support for new customers and existing customers. Provides technical problem resolution and troubleshooting skills to ensure efficient runability of TC products in customer facilities. Solves customer product and machine issues while building relationships with TC customer facilities. We have been driving innovation since 1976. When Benefits Really Help You Live Better. • [Group Insurance (including health, life, disability, dental, and travel insurance)[ • [Paid maternity/paternity leave and educational reimbursement] • [Immediately vested 401k with company match] • [Supplier discounts on various products] • [Regular full-time position] • [Participatory management] When your actions lead to success. • Acts as liaison between TC customer and TC manufacturing plants • Interfaces with customers and their employees with process assistance for products • Provides customers with machine parameters for product materials • Responds to customer requests for problem resolution • Troubleshoots and analyzes materials for customers • Works with sales to respond to customer issues • Manages relationships with sales force to meet customer needs • Recommends other product options in support of sales when authorized • Troubleshoots potential problems with customer and their employees • Documents customer issues and resolution • Requests lab testing on samples to further identify material issues • Tests samples on TC equipment to identify additional opportunities • Assists in determining product specifications for customer’s needs • Install, setup and provide training of TC packaging equipment • General preventative maintenance of TC packaging equipment • Audit, troubleshoot, and repair TC packaging equipment • Travel up to 70%, as needed • Other duties as assigned When your expertise drives us. • Bachelor’s degree in packaging, engineering or comparable work experience in flexible packaging production or maintenance. • 5 – 10 years in flexible packaging production/maintenance or packaging machine production/maintenance. • Experience in the flexible packaging industry and/or meat/cheese/pet food packaging; strongly preferred • Previous experience in manufacturing organization; preferred • Knowledge of, and experience with, printing and converting industry and equipment; preferred • Strong knowledge of the flexible packaging process from film production through the packaging and shipping processes of finished products. • Computer skills – report writing, Microsoft Office. • Troubleshooting skills – packaging machine and flexible film interaction and mechanical issues. • Strong mechanical aptitude – machine breakdowns and upset conditions.
