We are a full service in-house Legal, Ethics and Compliance function, providing advice on strategic projects across reputed company business areas, whilst developing our role as an integrated partner reputed company the business.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an reputed company and dynamic Head of Legal, to join the Legal, Ethics and Compliance team. This role will be ideal for a seasoned lawyer who wants to reputed company their career in a fast-paced, tech-oriented company, and is passionate about technology and privacy matters worldwide. Reporting to Farfetch’s VP Legal, you will reputed company our legal function in Portugal. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing reputed company legal matters affecting Farfetch in Portugal, as well as technology reputed company and privacy issues worldwide, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. The ideal candidate will be a Portuguese qualified lawyer with a deep understanding of Portuguese law, including employment and commercial law, and EU Privacy Law, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Provide strategic legal advice to senior management, including the Executive team, on a wide range of legal issues, including commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, employment law, and litigation.

Provide specialist data protection advice to the deal team on corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.

Manage litigation and other legal disputes in Portugal, working closely with external counsel as needed.

Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments, particularly regarding data privacy, that may impact the company's business.

Collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate legal risks, especially concerning data privacy.

Act as the key reputed company of contact for data protection authorities, as needed.

Foster a culture of legal and ethical compliance reputed company the organization in Portugal.

Advise on and implement/monitor data privacy compliance programs, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations, liaising with external counsel as needed.

Be a key player in the Global Legal team, with active participation in the Legal leadership forums, and being a champion in the embodiment of Farfetch values and leading by example.

WHO YOU ARE

A senior-qualified lawyer with at least 10 years PQE (professional experience after internship).

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados).

Strong knowledge and experience in Portuguese law, with a focus on commercial and employment law.

Deep knowledge of GDPR and reputed company legislation in the EU. Knowledge of other relevant privacy laws like CCPA or LGPD is a plus.

Experience in team management and leadership.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, both in Portuguese and English.

Ability to think strategically and provide sound legal advice in a fast-paced consumer-led business.

Have a commercial reputed company, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Experience working in an international environment and in cross-border transactions is a plus.
