This is a contract position for those based in Brazil. The Initial contract is for 6 months, with strong potential for extension.

The Role

NearForm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Frontend Tech Lead to join our team of consultants. In this role, you will define the technical roadmap, uphold best practices, and mentor the front-end engineering team. What you will do

  • Provide technical and line-management leadership to your development team;
  • Work directly with clients, translating requirements into technical briefs;
  • Establishing the technical vision and setting the foundations for a scalable, maintainable, and high-performance UI platform;
  • Evaluating and selecting modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and tools;
  • Ensuring applications are highly performant, efficient, and responsive across devices;
  • Enforcing coding standards, design patterns, and best practices for frontend development;
  • Guiding and mentoring frontend developers, conducting code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions;
  • Defining frontend testing strategies and encouraging the use of automated testing frameworks;
  • Designing systems that support scalability and modularity to handle evolving business requirements;
  • Provide reports to client and NearForm leadership to ensure a clear understanding of project status and drive good decision-making.

What we are looking for

  • Proficient communication in English (oral and written) and excellent communication skills;
  • 10+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 4+ years in a frontend architect or technical leadership role
  • Expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, and Frontend frameworks such as React and Vue.js;
  • Familiarity with Redux, MobX, Vuex, or equivalent state management libraries;
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Material-UI, Tailwind CSS;
  • Experience with modern front-end build systems (Webpack, Vite, Babel, Rollup);
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, caching, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and E2E testing (Jest, Cypress, Mocha, etc.);
  • Familiarity with deployment pipelines, Docker, and AWS;
  • Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and hands-on experience with a backend language;
  • Ability to work closely with designers and contribute to UI/UX discussions;
  • Experience working directly with customers and users.

1. A Video Interview with someone from the recruitment team (30 mins approx.) to introduce to you Nearform and the role, and to make sure your experience is relevant for the position.2. An assessment with a member of the hiring team (1 hr approx.), this session is carried out using a screen share. You will be given a challenge and asked to provide a working solution to a specified problem.3. A Hiring Manager Interview with a member from our Leadership team (1 hr approx.) which allows us to gain a better insight into what interests you, and your technical background, and give you an overview of the work we do at Nearform.
