Remote Occupational Health Nurse (RN) - Telephonic Triage (10:30AM-9:00PM MST) - Training starts September 15, 2023 - WorkCare - USA - work from home job Company: WorkCare Job description: Job Description: Job Summary We are looking for a Remote Telephonic Triage RN to help support our 24/7 Incident reputed company program. This position is focused on using a new approach to helping employees return to work. The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate appropriate and timely health care with the focus on employee return-to-work and the return to maximum functionality. This is accomplished by providing the assessment and guidance at the time of a workplace injury telephonically.

Responsibilities

The nurse utilizes evidence-based guidelines and employs best practices that require early reputed company and setting of realistic expectations for recovery and return to work. 1) Provide initial injury intake, follow up and case closures in accordance with Policy Procedure. • Provide initial contact with injured worker, employer, provider and other appropriate stakeholders. • Obtains history of injury (mechanism and setting) and reputed company job functions • Assesses functional status and provides recommendations for first aid, self care, or medical treatment according to treatment protocols. • Assesses and collects data regarding risk factors for delayed recovery and generates creative solutions to minimize or eliminate obstacles which prevent or delay return to work. • Completes follow up calls to assess reputed company with suggested self care or first aid and escalates case to MD per protocol 2) Employee/Employer Relations • Provides employer and supervisor with updates regarding the nature and mechanism of injury as well as suggested level of care • Serves as an reputed company for the injured/ill worker. • Counsel’s employees on reduction of risks associated with occupational and environmental hazards. 3) Provider Contact/Relations • Requests medical records as needed. • Directs care to preferred providers and negotiates as necessary. • Ensures appropriate use of medical facilities, early and appropriate referrals, and quality of care at controlled or reduced cost. • Identifies excessive, ineffective or inefficient delivery of health care services and redirects care as needed. 4) Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by supervisor for the efficient operation of WorkCare Qualifications • Education and Experience • Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid RN license. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred. • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a case manager in health care setting. • Must have a Compact RN License. • RNs must be able to maintain Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and reside in a compact state. • RN must adhere to the requirements and time frames of licensure in reputed company other states • Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to be trained in Case Management and Occupational Health. • Telephonic case management experience preferred. • Ability to obtain Occupational Health and/or Case Management certification reputed company two years of employment • Certification in CCM/Disability Management desired. • Skills and Competencies • Must have positive telephone interaction skills including ability to ask open-ended questions to identify problems and focus conversation for goal directed and time limited conversation. • Must be able to interact effectively with HR, safety staff, local medical providers and other designated personnel for proper initiation and follow- of possible work-reputed company injuries and illnesses. • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and computer skills. Additional Job Information This position is Monday-Friday 10:30AM-9:00PM MST with rotating weekends and holidays included in the scheduled workweek.
