About the position As a PACE Pharmacy Technician at Evernorth Health Services, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with the management of rare and chronic diseases by ensuring they receive the medications they need. This position empowers you to engage with patients, insurance companies, and various departments to process medication orders efficiently and ensure timely shipment. The role is highly detail-oriented, requiring you to spend a significant portion of your day working on our computer system to manage prescriptions accurately. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately enter prescriptions into our system. You will utilize the knowledge gained from training, your problem-solving skills, and support from your team to ensure that patient prescriptions are entered correctly. This accuracy is vital as it allows for proper evaluation under insurance coverage and ensures that medications are dispensed correctly. In addition to data entry, you will interact directly with healthcare providers, researching issues in collaboration with pharmacists and doctors' offices. You will also provide guidance to patients regarding their medication coverage, which requires excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. The ability to juggle multiple tasks without sacrificing quality is essential, as you will be handling various requests simultaneously while documenting information in our computer system. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required. , • Minimum of six months related experience. , • Valid Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration as required by state laws. , • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred. , • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry skills. , • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication). , • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. , • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
