Job Title: Part-Time Staff Accountant (20 hours per week, Remote, HUBZone reputed company Required) Company: Persistent Technology, Inc. Location: Remote (Must reside in a HUBZone) Position Overview: Persistent Technology, Inc. is seeking a part-time Staff Accountant with experience in government contracting (GovCon) and proficiency with Unanet and iSolve. This role supports the company’s accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, managing labor categories (LCATs), wrap rates, subcontracts, task orders, and other key financial functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and DCAA regulations and be able to manage multiple GovCon accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities: Accounting/Finance Support for Government Contracting Clients: • Process vendor and customer invoices in the accounting system. • Prepare and process payroll. • Provide accounting support, including month-end reputed company processes, reconciliations, and journal entries. • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and lines of credit (LOCs), swiftly resolving variances. • Generate workpapers and complete month-end reputed company packs for multiple engagements, ensuring accuracy. • Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA regulations. Subcontracts & Task Orders: • Manage financial aspects of subcontracts and task orders, including cost allocations and reporting. • Calculate and maintain labor categories (LCATs) and wrap rates to ensure accuracy and profitability. • Collaborate with team members to align financial documentation with government contract requirements. Account Management: • Facilitate regular client communication and reputed company status calls. • Build strong client relationships by understanding business needs and challenges. • Identify opportunities for process improvement in client accounting workflows. • Collaborate with clients to streamline financial processes and implement best practices. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or reputed company field (preferred). • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in a GovCon environment. • Proficiency in Unanet and iSolve (or other GovCon accounting systems). • Working knowledge of GAAP, FASB, CAS, FAR, and DCAA compliance. • Proficient in Office 365 applications, with advanced skills in reputed company. • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
