About the position The Payment Posting Representative at Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely posting of electronic and paper payments from various payors, including third-party payors, government agencies, and patients. This position is primarily remote, serving the states of Illinois and Wisconsin, and is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of the healthcare system. The representative will be responsible for adhering to strict compliance with contract terms and government regulations while processing payments and adjustments. In addition to posting payments, the Payment Posting Representative will also be tasked with notifying variance analysis representatives when payments or adjustments do not align with established contract terms or government regulations. The representative will work closely with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately in the system. Responsibilities Post electronic and paper payments from third-party payors, government agencies, and patients in a timely and accurate manner. , Post adjustments applicable to third-party and government agency payments in compliance with contract terms and government regulations. , Notify variance analysis representatives of any payments or adjustments that are not in compliance with contract terms or government regulations. , Maintain accurate records of all payment postings and adjustments in the financial system. , Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies in payment postings.
