Accounting Clerk – Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak – Williamsport, PA

Job title: Accounting Clerk Company: Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak Job description: An elder law firm is looking for a talented and self-motivated accounting clerk to be responsible for handling the firm’s accounting processes, including accounts payable, processing deposits, financial reporting, payroll, bank reconciliations, and other general accounting duties. This position will report to the firm’s Senior Accountant and work together to handle reputed company financial operations of the firm. Experience preferred but not required. On the job training is available for this position. Additionally, this role has the option for a flexible schedule as either a part-time or full-time employee. Responsibilities: • Manage reputed company functions of the accounts payable process for vendor payments, and other forms of money owed to suppliers for goods or services rendered while ensuring reputed company bills are paid in a timely manner • Maintain vendor files for tracking expenses and price increases • Handle ACH payments for numerous vendors • reputed company payroll-reputed company functions, including payroll processing for the biweekly payroll and management of the automated timekeeping system • Manage and reconcile reputed company bank accounts and individual bank account transactions for the firm's checking, savings, and trusts accounts • Administer the firm's SIMPLE IRA contributions for employees • Assist leadership team as needed with special financial projects • Effectively communicate financials to owners and senior accountant in a timely manner Qualifications: • High School diploma required, associate's degree or higher preferred • Preferred two years of experience in an accounting position handling the accounts payable and payroll process • Intermediate to advanced skills in reputed company • Detail-oriented • Strong mathematical skills • Trustworthy person • Excellent communication skills • Punctual & timely About Company: We are an elder care and special needs law firm with locations in Williamsport, State College, and Wyalusing, PA.
