Request For Proposal (RFP) Specialist - Remote (Select States)

About the position Sentara Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time remote Request for Proposal (RFP) Specialist for Sentara Health Plans Virginia Beach. This position is part of the RFP/Proposal Team within the Communications department. The RFP Specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, compelling proposals in collaboration with Sales team members and subject matter experts throughout the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of the health plan, including the company's mission and vision, community presence, core products and services, and continuous advancements in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, proofreading, and critical thinking skills, along with a detail-oriented and resourceful approach to their work. They must be capable of collaborating effectively with various departments and managing strict deadlines. The RFP Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of standard communications plans and proposals that enhance the Sentara Health Plans image and support the company's strategic goals. This includes writing both technical and creative content, proofreading, managing expenses, and editing printed and electronic communications prior to distribution to key audiences such as health plan members, benefits administrators, brokers, employers, and physicians. Additionally, the RFP Specialist will maintain positive and professional relationships with Sales, Compliance, Digital Innovations, and all interfacing departments. They will be tasked with translating Sentara Health Plans business strategies into effective communications. This is a mid-level role that requires effective communication planning and proposal development skills. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing, Mass Communications, Public Relations, or English. , • 4 years of related experience in proposal development or communications. , • Experience in proposal writing and development.
