Senior Auto and General Liability Claims Specialist
CorVel is seeking a Senior Auto and General Liability Claims Specialist. This role manages, reputed company company best practices, reputed company and non-reputed company Auto and General Liability claims. Additionally, the Specialist will work reputed company delegated authority to best possible outcomes for CorVel and our clients. This is a remote position, reporting to the Charlotte, NC office. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives claims, confirms policy coverage and acknowledgment of the claim Investigates claims and handles 1st and 3rd party Auto and General Liability claims Establishes reserves and authorizes payments reputed company reserving authority limits Communicates claim status with the customer, claimant and client Adheres to client and reputed company guidelines and participates in claims review as needed Assists other claims professionals with more reputed company or problematic claims as necessary Requires regular and consistent attendance Additional projects and duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Five (5) or more years experience handling Auto and General Liability claims, including high exposure and litigated claims Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn rapidly to reputed company knowledge and understanding of claims practice Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office including reputed company spreadsheets Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies Ability to work both independently and reputed company a team environment EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and reputed company experience Auto and General Liability Claims experience required Adjusters home state license, if applicable, is required Licenses in multiple states preferred Experience with claims for retail establishments is a plus Minimum of 5 year Auto and General Liability experience PAY RANGE: CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-reputed company skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time. For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, reputed company, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
