Department: ICE | Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for delivering advanced pharmaceutical care, including the management and optimization of medication therapy, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert advice on drug-related issues. This position involves collaborating with healthcare providers, conducting medication reviews, and participating in patient education to improve health outcomes. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD PLUS Licensed or eligible for licensure in Arkansas Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy • Certification as a licensed Pharmacist by the State of Arkansas or eligible for licensure by the State of Arkansas • Certification to administer immunizations by the State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for certification to administer immunizations Preferred Qualifications: • PGY1/2 residency completion • Board Certified in applicable area • 5 years applicable experience Additional Information: Responsibilities: • Oversees patient care functions, including maintaining accurate records and refining medication therapies to improve treatment results. • Handles task prioritization adjusts to shifts in practice and addresses day-to-day operational challenges. • Adhere to pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies. • Provides training and instruction to staff members and pharmacy students. • Participates in initiatives for process enhancement, policy revisions, or research activities. • Other duties as assigned.
