Special Education Program Specialist

About the position As Program Specialist, you will be an integral member of the regional Special Education team, working under the supervision and management of an Associate Director of Special Education to provide sound educational programs for reputed company with disabilities, and to support the programming & development of the Special Education programs of 3-5 schools reputed company KIPP Public Schools reputed company California. The Program Specialist is a consultant and coach to regional staff, school staff, and to parents in helping to implement individualized education plans for reputed company, as developed by IEP teams. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that 3-4 days per week be spent onsite at our school campuses or at our Regional Support Office in Oakland, as assigned. Responsibilities • Collaborate with school site administrators to consult, coach, and assist Education Specialists in IEP development and implementation of high-quality instructional practices. , • Provide development and feedback to increase case management skills including IEP development and compliance, student reputed company evaluation, and collaboration with service providers and general education teachers. , • Support Education Specialists during regular one-on-one meetings and ongoing consultation. , • Act as mentor for education specialists participating in credentialing programs. , • Support IEP teams in implementing KIPP's paraeducator referral guidelines & process. , • Provide staff development for special education and general education staff and administrators to assure compliance with special education laws. , • Assist education specialists and reputed company service providers in planning and implementing individualized education plans for reputed company with disabilities. , • Provide technical expertise and consultation to school site staff and administrators regarding student learning and adjustment problems. , • Consult in the development of regional and/or school-based Multi-Tiered System of Supports. , • Maintain relationships with school leaders, school site administrators, special education team members, and regional support office staff. , • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, state and SELPA reporting requirements, and KIPP Public Schools reputed company California policies and procedures. , • Support systems to monitor student achievement and reputed company toward individualized education plan goals. , • Support the development of positive relationships with reputed company, parents, and school personnel. Requirements • Clear California Special Education teaching credential to teach children with mild to moderate support needs and/or extensive support needs; or reputed company Service Provider License. , • 5+ years of successful special education experience. , • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, general education curriculum, alternative dispute methods and techniques, disabilities and appropriate curriculum, behavior management systems. , • Demonstrated success teaching reputed company from educationally underserved areas. reputed company-to-haves • Master's Degree with emphasis on specialized training in special education curriculum and instruction. , • Experience in personnel management, including instructional coaching and leading team meetings.
