About the position The A&S Marketing and Communications Intern at the University of Wyoming is a temporary position designed for current students who are looking to gain practical experience in the field of marketing and communications. The intern will assist in managing the college's social media accounts, which include platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This responsibility will involve creating content, engaging with followers, and analyzing the effectiveness of social media strategies. In addition to social media management, the intern will be tasked with prospecting stories and writing news releases that highlight events and achievements of faculty, staff, and students within the college. This aspect of the role will help the intern develop their writing skills, particularly in a journalistic style, which is essential for effective communication in the field. The intern will also assist in basic design projects aimed at promoting A&S initiatives, which may include creating posters, flyers, and mailers.
