Sr Software QA- Manual - REMOTE Edina, MN ICS Job Type: Direct Placement Ref No: 22-00641 Date: January 28, 2022 Job Description - Sr Software QA- Manual - REMOTE Sr Software QA- Manual Direct Hire Remote (If Pay up to $77,000/year Looking for a Senior QA to work with a software team and within the companies software development process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting functional and integration tests before product launches to ensure the software runs smoothly and meets quality standards. You will also get to explore new technical areas while also sharpening your existing skills. The ideal candidate will have previous QA experience in evaluating and performing required testing on business applications, process improvements, and new technologies. This position works in collaboration with Agile team in meeting quality objectives and introducing efficiencies and maximizing test coverage. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, execution and validation of test cases based on business needs and ensuring quality standards are achieved. Qualifications: 4+ years of manual testing experience. Ability to accurately identify, document, and develop test cases from business requirements is required. Thorough understanding of and experience with applying QA software quality standards, metrics methodologies and best practices. Experience in all stages of application testing including UI, backend, functional, regression, API, integration. Experience in software development lifecycles and methodologies, including DevOps or Agile delivery models, with emphasis on Scrum process framework. 4+ years of Agile/Scrum experience is preferred. Must possess strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to pay close attention to detail and handle multiple tasks with accuracy and thoroughness. Experience with Agile tooling in for backlog management, test management, and documentation. (e.g. Jira, Xray, Confluence). Ability to mentor and train other team members in the QA process. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to think critically and effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders (internal and external), technology teams, and multiple business units while leveraging a keen understanding of multiple leadership, communication, and thinking styles. Some knowledge or willingness to develop skills in SQL, databases and reporting. Creating and executing automation tests is a plus. SmartCom and Planet Press experience is a plus.
