The Business Development Executive is responsible for market expansion and penetration in existing markets through new business and new logos, entry into new markets or market segments, and new capability pursuits in existing domains. This is a remote sales position on our Commercial team, who is responsible for selling Equifax Commercial Business/SMB data solutions. What you will do • Identify and secure new customers • Prospect for new leads -- identify and qualify potential clients through various channels such as cold calling, email marketing, networking events, and online research • Drive strong pipeline development and sales execution • Manage sales pipeline -- maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM software • Negotiate and close deals -- effectively negotiate contracts and close new business deals that meet or exceed revenue targets • Land and grow new customer revenue across the Equifax solution portfolio • Develop contact network within new customers and facilitate connection to relevant Equifax counterparts • Lay early foundation for long-term customer relationships • Identify, develop, manage, and close opportunities spanning all Equifax solutions with prospects • Complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business imperatives and risk, fraud, and marketing strategies • Define and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth while delivering meaningful customer value • Network to build relationships with economic buyers, decision makers, and influencers in target customers • Leverage account, solution, and delivery team resources effectively and at appropriate times to advance opportunities • Lead account strategy motions with cross-functional team to identify sales opportunities tied to company value-add • Respond to prospect RFI and RFPs What experience you need • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a net new business sales role • Proven track record of sales success, hitting or exceeding KPIs What could set you apart • Experience selling either consumer or commercial data to businesses (B2B) • A hunter mentality -- you're a proactive and results-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic, a high degree of initiative, and a passion for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set and achieve goals, be self-motivated and persevere through challenges • An understanding of the market, competitors, and trends relevant to Equifax's products Equifax is required by law to include a good-faith salary range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. At Equifax, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $83,000 to $105,000. (Include if applicable) This position is also eligible for our incentive compensation program.
