As a LMFT in private practice in the South Bay Area, I take pride in helping new therapists develop as professionals. You?ll learn clinical best practices, develop marketing skills, and start building your own practice. My style is encouraging, supportive, and collaborative. Supervisee?s profile: ? Someone experienced with or interested in working with children, teens, adults, or couples. ? Someone who is confident in their skills and eager to develop new ones. ? Someone comfortable with a degree of autonomy in their work. ? Someone who is willing to market themselves. SUPERVISOR DOES NOT PROVIDE CLIENTS. ? Someone who can do online and/or in-person sessions. Expectations of the Supervisee: ? Be available at least 10 session hours a week. ? Be comfortable with teletherapy and have a quiet, confidential space to work from. ? Be able to complete and maintain case documentation in a timely manner. ? Be open to feedback and to different techniques and models. ? Be eager to build clientele. ? Uphold ethical and legal standards of practice. ? Be registered with the BBS and in good standing. ? Original AMFT registration only. ? Have their own liability insurance. Responsibilities of the Supervisor: ? Rent an office for in-person sessions. ? Provide an atmosphere of trust, support, and encouragement so professional growth may be experienced. ? Arrange weekly one-on-one supervision in an ethical and professional manner. ? Assist the supervisee with examining interpersonal issues that impact therapy. ? Respect the supervisee?s chosen theoretical orientation. ? Manage/review caseloads to ensure that clients are receiving treatment in a competent fashion. ? Share an enthusiasm about the process of building and maintaining a private practice. ? Offer compensation for an associate is 50% of income received from their sessions only.
