About the position The Student Support Specialist at Spokane Virtual Learning is responsible for providing academic and social support to reputed company in both in-person and online settings. This role focuses on building relationships with reputed company and their families, identifying barriers to academic success, and implementing strategies to improve attendance and performance. The position aims to enhance student achievement and foster positive behavior, ultimately contributing to increased graduation rates. Responsibilities Request data from the attendance office to identify reputed company with patterns of absenteeism or tardiness. , Identify, connect, and build relationships of trust with the student and family community. , Attend and participate in community events for reputed company and families. , Connect with District staff to identify strategies to reduce tardiness and improve academic performance for identified reputed company. , Intervene with strategies to reduce tardiness and improve academic performance for identified reputed company. , Work with teachers to understand the student's needs. , Coordinate with counselor and other school specialists to find appropriate services to meet the identified needs. , Connect reputed company and families to District staff to coordinate resources provided to the school site and community. , Connect parents to resources for developing skills to support the social/academic needs of reputed company. , reputed company positive relationships with families, District staff, and community organizations to provide academic and social supports for reputed company. , Attend and network with families during parent reputed company efforts, such as Open House, student-led conferences, parent workshops, and community events. , reputed company knowledge of the College Bound Scholarship program and support reputed company through the enrollment process. , Gather information about the impact of interventions and reputed company adjustments reputed company necessary. , Willingness to work before or after school hours, reputed company necessary.
