We are currently in search of skilled Independent Contractors with substantial experience in the transcription of depositions and hearings. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work, allowing you to manage your own schedule while collaborating with a supportive in-office team. Key Responsibilities • Produce accurate and verbatim transcripts from audio recordings, including depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. • Ensure strict adherence to established style guides and client specifications. • Collaborate remotely with team members, receiving support and guidance as necessary. • Manage your schedule effectively to accommodate various workloads. Required Skills • Significant experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential. • Excellent listening skills complemented by outstanding literacy, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Proven ability to adhere to deadlines and client-specific style guides. • Proficiency in typing with both speed and accuracy. • Familiarity with legal terminology is required, and court reporting students will also be considered. • Must be capable of processing extreme audio/text content (may be offensive). • Ability to pass a background check.
