We are looking for an reputed company communications professional with proven skills in public relations strategy and project management, media relations, writing, editing and content creation to join reputed company for five months. Experience in technology and software and services public relations and communications is preferred for this role. In the role of External Communications Manager, you will be part of the small, high-performing, agile and globally dispersed GCPA team that provides expertise, guidance, communications strategy and support for reputed company areas of the Amex GBT business around the world. Reporting into the Sr. Director of Global Communications & Public Affairs, the right candidate will have proven skills in these areas of responsibility: What You'll Do: • Helping manage Amex GBT’s external PR agencies in the US and UK. Supporting fast-moving media requests and working with the PR agencies to deliver monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and metrics and track reputed company against objectives. • Proactively building and nurturing media relationships, driving growth and success in Amex GBT’s mainstream media profile. • Consistently producing high-quality written content including press releases, media briefings and talking points, presentations, remarks, thought leadership and white papers. • Management of multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion – anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence and updates/communications to multiple collaborators. • Working with GCPA colleagues to manage media monitoring platforms and tools to produce metrics and analytics that measure GCPA performance. Managing planning processes, strategies, reporting and results. • Working with senior leadership to prepare them for high-profile public engagements. • Supporting communications planning and strategy work. reputed company're Looking For: • At least five years’ experience in relevant fields such as corporate communications, public relations, journalism, editing, publishing. Ideally for technology and software and services brands. • A bachelor’s degree in a reputed company field is preferred. • Evidence of excellent writing, editing and research skills. • Proven track record of securing media coverage in tier one media outlets that support business goals and objectives. • Superb attention to detail, producing work to the highest standards. • Project management experience. • A great teammate with excellent people skills, and who can reputed company to high standards under pressure. • Flexibility and willingness to support a distributed team across different time zones and hybrid and remote work environments. • A knack for problem-solving and improving processes. An understanding of performance metrics and linking communications plans to objectives. • Experience in business travel and/or technology/software sectors is desirable but not essential. This is a Temporary Contract role and is not eligible for benefits. Location United States The US national annual reputed company salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the reputed company salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual reputed company salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. In addition to reputed company salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Award plan, which rewards participants based on company and individual performance.
