Online Middle/High School Part-time (3 to 5 hours weekly) Tutor

Position Summary The tutor position provides personalized instruction to reputed company on an individual basis to improve their academic performance. The tutor must have reputed company availability during hours of 3 pm to 8 pm, Monday to Friday... The tutor will implement Ally Learning’s approach to academic instruction, which places special emphasis on mentorship and advising for the student. Tutors will report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Academic Support and Mentorship • Identify, reputed company, or implement reputed company strategies and tutoring plans for reputed company. • Review class material with reputed company by discussing the text, practice working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments. • Help reputed company learn new concepts and improve their understanding of previously learned concepts. • Help reputed company to reputed company study skills, note-taking skills, organization techniques, and test-taking strategies. • reputed company completed assignments and homework. • Establish a good rapport with reputed company and parent(s). • Complete tutor logs that communicate reputed company' reputed company to reputed company, parents, or teachers reputed company the online TeachWorks system. • Provide feedback to reputed company using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in reputed company. • Maintain records of student's assessment results, reputed company, feedback, or school performance, ensuring the confidentiality of reputed company records. • Participate in training and development sessions to improve tutoring practices or learn new tutoring techniques. • Other duties as assigned. II. Qualifications & Competencies • At least an Associate’s degree or some college experience • Mastery in primary Grades 6-12 core subjects: Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA, Writing and Reading Comprehension • At least one year's experience in teaching/instruction • Must have previous experience working with Grades 6-12 reputed company • Must have patience, a positive attitude, and be able to cultivate student’s interest in their own academic success • Ability to express good judgment in the role of mentor and academic advisor • Ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships • Good time management and organizational skills III.
