Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist at DHL, you will play a critical role in the logistics and fulfillment operations by ensuring accurate and efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for handling shipments, verifying contents, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities: • Shipping Operations: • Prepare shipments for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy in product selection and packaging. • Generate shipping labels and arrange transportation for deliveries. • Maintain records of outgoing shipments and track shipment status as required. • Receiving Operations: • Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and inspect contents for accuracy and condition. • Verify received products against packing slips or purchase orders. • Label and store received goods in designated warehouse locations. • Inventory Management: • Assist in conducting regular physical inventories and cycle counts. • Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately. • Quality Control and Safety: • Ensure all shipped and received products meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations. • Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to supervisors promptly. • Documentation and Communication: • Maintain shipping and receiving logs, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers regarding shipment statuses and requirements. Skills and Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or related fields is a plus. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or SAP. • Ability to operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred). • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Working Conditions: • Fast-paced warehouse environment with regular exposure to moving machinery and varying temperatures. • Ability to lift and move heavy packages, up to 75 pounds, as needed.
