Job Description
As a Junior Flight Attendant, your primary role will be to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of passengers aboard United Airlines flights. This position does not require prior experience as United will provide a paid training program where you will learn everything from safety procedures to customer service excellence.
Responsibilities
1. Perform pre-flight cabin checks and ensure all safety equipment are in working order.
2. Greet passengers, assist with seating, and provide an overview of flight details including safety instructions.
3. Respond to passengers’ requests and needs courteously and efficiently.
4. Serve beverages, meals, and snacks while managing onboard sales transactions.
5. Handle emergency situations with composure and adhere to standard safety procedures.
6. Maintain a clean cabin environment before, during, and after the flight.
7. Promote a positive team environment among crew members and maintain professional interactions.
Requirements
– Minimum age of 18 years.
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
– Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
– Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds and reaching overhead storage compartments.
– Comfortable standing and walking for long periods.
– Flexible with scheduling and able to work on short notice.
Educational Qualifications
– A high school diploma or GED is required.
– Further certifications in hospitality, safety, or customer service are advantageous but not necessary.
Experience
– No previous experience in a related field is needed, as paid training is provided.
