Job Summary:
Schneider National, Inc., one of the largest transportation and logistics companies in North America, is seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Tanker Driver. The ideal candidate must have a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement. Job Description:
As a CDL Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a large commercial vehicle with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). You will be delivering freight, following appropriate safety procedures in handling dangerous goods, and maintaining logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.
Responsibilities:
– Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck.
– Load and unload cargo.
– Properly track and document activity log.
– Report any issues or incidents to dispatch.
– Inspect truck before and after the trip.
– Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Requirements:
– Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement.
– Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields.
– Ability to handle physical workload.
– Strong work ethic.
– Must pass a drug screening and background check.
Education:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Completion of truck driving school and CDL certification.
