Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Flatbed Driver to join our team at J.B. Hunt, one of the largest transportation logistics companies in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering goods while maintaining a strict schedule and ensuring all safety regulations and standards are met. Job Description:
As a Flatbed Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers in order to plan routes and track deliveries.
Responsibilities:
– Safe operation of assigned vehicles for transport and delivery of product.
– Adherence to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely.
– Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
– Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
– Inspection of vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
– Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Requirements:
– Proven work experience as a truck driver.
– Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
– Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
– No recent moving or driving violations.
– Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc).
– Valid truck driving license.
Educational Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
Experience:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in truck driving, specifically with flatbed trucks.
