Email Marketing Strategist (Remote)

Remote position. USA based applicants preferred. Must work in PST, EST, MST, or CST time zones. Boutique women-owned email & sms marketing agency is looking for a part-time account strategist. This is an ongoing contract position and has the potential to transition to full-time in the future. Our agency works with D2C brands in a variety of industries (Skincare, Finance, Education, Beverage, Appliances, Retail, and so much more). We value the relationships we build with our clients and work hard to deliver high-quality work that produces results. This position is client-facing and the strategist will need to have experience managing email and sms accounts in platforms such as Klaviyo, Attentive, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Active Campaign, etc. Our team is composed of graphic designers, copywriters, email specialists, and project managers with whom the strategist will work heavily. About You: We are looking for a strategic and analytical thinker. You are creative and... love building relationships with clients. You're extremely tech-savvy, marketing-minded, and passionate about email/sms marketing. You take initiative and don’t need much hand-holding. This isn’t your first rodeo- you have experience in all aspects of email/sms including copy, design, strategy, or implementation and are well versed in email best practices & laws (CAN-SPAM). You have a super high attention to detail and you’re extremely thorough- you catch mistakes long before they make it to the client. You have a can-do attitude. If you don’t know something- you figure it out, research, & are quick on your feet. You have a high EQ- you’re great on client calls and can solve problems quickly & emphatically. You love being client-facing and can answer questions about email/sms marketing confidently. You’re able to work with other marketing channels such as Google & paid ads to ensure the client is having a well-rounded and seamless experience. Responsibilities include: • Developing total email/sms strategy & planning for clients: You’ll be building customer journey roadmaps, managing campaigns & workflow automations, and strategic list growth, management & segmentation. • Total ESP Management: You’ll manage the client's email service provider (Klaviyo, Active Campaign, Mailchimp, etc) including troubleshooting issues & managing data integrations between platforms. • Analyzing performance: You’ll regularly assess email performance, industry benchmarks, and report on campaigns & workflows. Your goal is to ensure accounts are performing well & delivering data-driven strategies. • Coordination with supporting team: You’ll be managing your project with a team of copywriters, email specialists, and designers- ensuring they are all delivering quality work and guiding them to ensure they are crafting compelling work that aligns with the client's strategic goals. • We are looking for people with high attention to detail, if you read this far please put "Maven" under the interview question "Is there anything additional you'd like us to know" • Manage the client relationship: You’ll be the point of contact for client accounts. • Quality Assurance: Reviewing, proofreading, and ensuring all work is accurate.
