Job Description: We are seeking qualified truck drivers to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from distribution centers to our various retail locations across the country in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities: – Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck – Load and unload cargo – Keep up with regular vehicle maintenance – Plan routes and meet delivery schedules – Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving – Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures – Collect and verify delivery instructions – Report defects, accidents or violations Qualifications: – Proven work experience as a truck driver – Possession of a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly – Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations – No recent moving or driving violations – Willingness to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations – Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc) – Trucking school diploma Benefits: At Walmart, we understand that our employees are our greatest asset.
