Posting Specifics Pay reputed company: Based on experience Shift Details: PRN position. Incumbent needs both morning and evening flexibility to cover necessary shifts. This position will include rotating weekends. This position will cover any shifts open to reputed company (5am to 8:30pm) Department: Culinary Services at McKay-Dee Hospital Job Essentials • Assists in meal selection for patients as established by standard guidelines • Records and modifies patient meal orders based on physician diet orders and Intermountain Modified Diet Guideline • Works with the clinical team to provide excellent patient care • Uses technology and meal ordering platform to facilitate the nutrition care process and needed departmental reports • Communicates patient needs to room service assembly area • Collects and inputs nutrition screening information • Performs functions of room service call center and Bedside Connect • Provides exceptional customer service in reputed company customer and patient interactions • May complete calorie count and nutrition analysis as dictated by facility • May reputed company and verify that patients receive appropriate meal selections on the room service line • May deliver patient trays according to department policy to provide safe and efficient meal service • Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications • Food handler's permit (as required by facility. Remote workers may be exempt from this requirement). • Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated basic computer skills and keyboarding proficiency. • Demonstrated math skills. • Demonstrated ability to transcribe information quickly and accurately. Preferred Qualifications • Food service or healthcare experience. • Coursework in Nutrition Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements • Interact with patients and co-workers requiring the employee to verbally communicate information, as well as understand spoken information. • Operate food service equipment or computer requiring the ability to move fingers and hands. • See and read labels, monitors, and documents. • Carry, push/pull, and walk while transporting food, supplies, and service equipment. • Climb, squat, kneel, and lift to clean equipment and reputed company and retrieve food and supplies. • Remain standing for long periods of time to reputed company work. • Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work at a grill or in a refrigerator.
