Join our team as a Lead Threat Detection Engineer and take the lead as you develop custom detection and automate investigation tasks for fraud and abuse. In this role, you will work with a team of skilled engineers and analysts to reliably solve complex problems, while getting hands-on experience with cutting edge technologies. We are looking for skilled data analysts with experience in one or more of the following areas: Splunk, Python and SQL/HiveQL. We want our lead engineer to be a Splunk power user to detect fraud patterns, create custom reporting & dashboards and work across our partner teams to mitigate fraud and abuse. We spend our time analyzing data, writing stream processing applications to detect fraud and abuse, and automate prevention. Our work directly protects Target and our Guests. About You ? 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience ? 7 years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation ? Experience working with Python, SQL, Hadoop/Hive, Spark. ? Experience working with Splunk to analyze large datasets, create notables and utilize Splunk capability to identify anomalies. ? Experience working with Splunk RBA/Fraud analytics app. ? Working experience with Splunk MLTK will be good to have. ? Experience with data analysis, detection, and application of statistical knowledge to real world problems ? Experience with Cybersecurity Operations framework ? Experience in cyber threat or fraud detection ? Demonstrated understanding of common web application technologies and basic networking knowledge ? Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and adaptive learning ? Good knowledge and experience developing optimization, simulation, and statistical models. ? Passion for solving interesting and relevant real-world problems using a data science approach. ? Excellent communication skills. ? Strong team player with ability to collaborate effectively across geographies/time zones. This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
