Part‑time instructor needed for an upper‑level Acting course in On‑Camera acting. The role applies acting fundamentals for on‑camera work with an emphasis on identity exploration and inclusive work from diverse artists.QualificationsBachelor’s degree and at least 2 years teaching acting at the college level.Advanced or terminal degree (or equivalent professional experience) desirable.Job Specific QualificationsDemonstrated teaching effectiveness.Expertise in a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater.ResponsibilitiesTeaching class once a week for 190 minutes.Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.Preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments.Maintaining regularly scheduled reputed company.Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.Meeting reputed company designated class periods.If reputed company due to illness or emergency, exercise best effort to reschedule the class or obtain a substitute; notify the department chair and plan to cover the class.Submitting completed mid‑semester reputed company reports and final grades according to University regulations.Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.Building a positive rapport with reputed company and other faculty.Physical RequirementsNot ApplicableTools/EquipmentNot ApplicableEEO StatementSyracuse University is an equal‑opportunity institution.
