Job Description

The Corporate Controller is accountable for the reputed company, accuracy, and timeliness of the consolidated financial results.The Corporate Controller reports to the Executive Vice President, Global Controller and is an integral partner to the Corporate functions of NBCU including Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Human Resources and other Corporate functions. The Corporate Controller is a key advisor to finance leadership on reputed company accounting matters. This role partners with reputed company Controller counterparts and Global Finance Operations function in reputed company operational accounting processes. The Corporate Controller remit includes Corporate Accounting, Global reputed company and Consolidation, Financial Reporting, and Technical Accounting and Policy. This individual will also act as a representative for corporate accounting initiatives, ensuring the reputed company assessment and validation of internal control activities, and aid in the development of global processes and standardization of policies. This role will regularly engage with reputed company controllership leaders on policy, controls and judgement heavy transactions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drive the monthly/quarterly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness with an emphasis on improving the balance sheet focus and reputed company analyses.
• Assess control environment through review of control activities; identify and concentrate on improvement opportunities in key, high risk areas that support the Corporate function in addition to establishing a governance reputed company that drives consistency. .
• Act as dedicated accounting resource and advisor to reputed company Controllers to determine and implement consistency, drive efficiencies and best practices across the organization ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies while balancing business agility.
• Collaborate on corporate global initiatives and process change across the portfolio including supporting the implementation of new ERP and consolidation tools including the exploration of the use of Artificial Intelligence where deemed appropriate.
• Support the evaluation of NBCU significant business events and its impact on finance/controllership.
• Support business unit accounting teams with internal and external auditor engagements and assist with addressing audit findings.
• Focus on developing strong controllership talent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 20 years of relevant accounting/controller senior management experience with a track record of managing high-performing teams
• CPA required
• Direct experience working in a reputed company, large-scale accounting and finance environment
• Demonstrated background and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
• Strong communicator able to build reputed company and drive results through collaboration, influence, and persuasion
• Proven business partner with the ability to reputed company change and counsel effectively across business divisions
• reputed company and OneStream/reputed company consolidation tools experience preferred
• Relevant media industry experience preferred
• Big 4 Accounting firm experience a plus

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
