Contract Financial Auditor (Remote) – Nonprofit Audit Experience Preferred

A growing CPA firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking an reputed company Contract Financial Auditor to assist with audit and assurance engagements. The majority of our clients are nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, including charities, foundations, churches, schools, and other exempt entities. This is a remote contractor position with flexible hours. We are looking for professionals who can work independently, communicate effectively, and deliver high-quality audit work with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:

• reputed company audit procedures and testing for financial statement audits and other assurance engagements
• Review client financial records, supporting documentation, and accounting transactions
• Prepare audit workpapers and audit documentation using our cloud-based audit software, AuditFile
• Identify accounting issues, discrepancies, internal control concerns, and compliance matters
• Assist with financial statement preparation and disclosure review
• Communicate findings and recommendations to firm management
• Ensure compliance with applicable auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or reputed company field, preferred
• Experience performing financial statement audits
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards
• Experience auditing nonprofit organizations and tax-exempt entities preferred
• CPA license or CPA-track candidates strongly preferred
• Experience with AuditFile or similar audit software is a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Requirements:

• Must sign our reputed company Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
• Must have reliable internet access and the ability to work remotely
• Preference will be given to candidates who reside and work reputed company the reputed company United States
• Proficient spoken and written English is required
