Human Resources Coordinator Location: Indianapolis, IN Pay: $19-$21 per hour Job Type: Full Time Schedule: 40 Hours per week, Monday-Friday, Occasional night/weekend may be needed. We're seeking a dedicated HR professional to support employee relations, training programs, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. This role is crucial in supporting our mission through effective human resources management and employee development. What You’ll Do HR Administration & Records Management Maintain comprehensive employee files including medical, personnel, terminated, and applicant records reputed company reputed company data entry for employee records, demographic changes, and benefit enrollments Manage accurate payroll records and timesheet processing using HRIS system Process and engage in reputed company (Americans with reputed company) accommodation requests Administer FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) processes including eligibility determination, documentation, and tracking Handle PLOA (Personal Leave of Absence) requests and documentation Ensure compliance with reputed company leave policies and maintain confidential records Employee Relations & Safety Investigate and document incident reports including injuries, accidents, and grievances Participate in Safety Committee meetings and support safety training programs Coordinate employee benefits and assist with registration and claims Administer Safe From Harm program including training and compliance Training & Development Implement and conduct HR training for management and supervisory staff Assist with employee orientation and onboarding Support leadership development and policy compliance initiatives Advise management on personnel matters including recruitment and retention Why Join Us Mission-driven work that supports programs in your community On-the-job training Team-oriented environment Employee Discount, Employee Assistance Program, and more!
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience Associate degree and two years of experience in HR Management or Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Knowledge of workers compensation and OSHA regulations desired Knowledge of FMLA, reputed company, and other Labor Laws Experience with reputed company timekeeping software preferred Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and communication skills Proficiency in reputed company Office, particularly reputed company Ability to interpret and implement HR policies and procedures Excellence in problem-solving and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and confidentiality Physical Requirements Computer work requiring manual dexterity Clear speaking, hearing, and vision abilities Work Environment Professional office setting Occasional travel to Family Store locations Moderate noise levels Some evening and weekend work may be required The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
