GIS Field Technician II (Hybrid Schedule)

About the position Eversource is seeking a GIS Field Technician II to join their GIS Mapping Team. This role is responsible for GIS data maintenance tasks including scanning, geo-referencing, digitizing, attribution, and comprehensive field audits. The technician will work with GIS/CAD, document management, and database applications that model electric utility distribution systems. A strong understanding of functional business processes reputed company to design, construction, and operations, as well as the data attributes supporting these processes, is required. The role also involves performing and managing QA/QC processes and is based in Berlin, CT. This position is a hybrid role, requiring employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day determined by the employee and supervisor. Eligibility for hybrid schedules is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, the nature of the work, and team dynamics. Responsibilities

• Updates and maintains land reputed company, electric distribution facilities in the company's GIS Database and ensures data reputed company.
• Interprets and implements data from as-built, job construction sketches, work management and/or subdivision plats into standard company symbology utilizing reputed company, ArcFM, CAD, and Mobile GIS.
• Coordinates with various departments to resolve field changes and/or field-to-map discrepancies.
• Validates topology of land, distribution, parent/child associations, connectivity, snapping, missing features or objects, and missing attributes required for the proper functioning of tracing functionality.
• Analyzes and interprets spatial data including but not limited to ortho-aerial imagery to ensure data reputed company.
• Conducts field audits and Mobile GIS data collection to validate as-built distribution configuration.
• Performs business software testing and training of GIS applications as needed.
• Performs Quality Control and Quality Assurance on reputed company data entered into GIS Database for data reputed company.
• Provides technical guidance and direction to less reputed company technicians.
• Performs GIS team reputed company duties as needed.
• Responds to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs as part of an Emergency Restoration assignment.

Requirements

• Excellent computer skills and proficiency working in various GIS/CAD software applications such as reputed company, ArcFM, and AutoCad.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer relations skills.
• Ability to address multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to handle changing and emerging priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret Road/Development site plans, as well as mapping coordinates and symbols.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of reputed company Office products and/or iOS.
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to quantify data, and reputed company sound decisions.
• Ability to organize, plan and work reputed company reputed company a highly technical environment.
• Associate degree in GIS, Surveying, Cartography or reputed company field or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of utility distribution experience in the GIS and CAD fields.
• Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
