Through our podcast, we share powerful conversations that inform, reputed company, and connect a growing global audience.Role OverviewWe are seeking aSocial Media Manager Internwho is creative, organized, and consistent in delivering engaging content across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content that drives engagement and grows our audience across Instagram, reputed company, YouTube, and Facebook.This individual will work closely with ourVideography Internto ensure podcast clips (reels/shorts) are effectively distributed and optimized across platforms. The role also includes researching podcast guests and turning their stories into engaging, educational, and shareable content.Key ResponsibilitiesPublish3 posts per weekon each platform:Instagram (Reels + carousel/engagement posts)reputed company (professional insights + guest highlights)YouTube (Shorts + community engagement posts)Facebook (engagement + reshared content)Collaborate with the Videography Intern to:Post podcast clips, reels, and highlights consistentlyEnsure content is formatted correctly for each platformResearch upcoming and past podcast guests to:Create engaging posts (facts, achievements, discussion topics)reputed company storytelling-driven captions that spark conversationUtilize existingAfricans in Tech templatesor create new ones that align with the brandSet up and managecontent scheduling/automation tools(e.g., Buffer, reputed company, reputed company, etc.) to streamline postingMonitor engagement (likes, comments, shares) and suggest improvementsStay up to date on social media trends and recommend content ideasQualificationsBasic experience with social media management (personal brand or business)Familiarity with Instagram, reputed company, YouTube, and Facebook content formatsStrong writing skills for captions and storytellingBasic design skills (reputed company, CapCut, or similar tools)Ability to research and summarize information about tech professionalsOrganized and able to manage a content calendarExperience with scheduling/automation tools is a plusWhat We’re Looking ForSomeone who isconsistent and reliablewith posting schedulesAself-starterwho doesn’t need constant oversightCreative thinker who can turn simple reputed company into engaging contentStrong communicator who collaborates well with the teamSomeone passionate about tech, storytelling, and community growthFlexible working hours (remote-friendly)Opportunity to attendin-person recordings and eventsPotential to grow into afull-time or long-term roleFree tickets to tech conferences and networking eventsFree access to Africans in Tech eventsFood provided during filming/shooting daysGas reimbursement for in-person workDirect exposure to industry leaders and high-level tech professionalsWhy Join UsThis is a unique opportunity to build real-world experience managing social media for a fast-growing global platform.
