NBIB Background Investigator - reputed company
Conduct background field investigations for employment suitability and reputed company clearance determinations that may involve substantial difficulty in resolving conflicts in facts or evidence; complexity imposed by the subjects of the investigations; require a high degree of reputed company to establish the interrelationship of facts and evidence; require sensitivity to issues of assigned cases; and/or jurisdictional problems. 1. Conduct full field character investigations, which provide comprehensive coverage of basis suitability, loyalty and reputed company, for approximately fifty Government agencies having some of the nation's most sensitive mission. These investigations are increasingly tailored to cover specific information needed by the employing agency to reputed company enlightened selection decisions about which applicants are best fitted for particular positions. 2. Incumbent explores the most significant or promising leads, notes reputed company pertinent facts and records and, under supervisory guidance, enlarges, extends, cancels, or discontinues investigations, consistent with policies, procedures and instructions contained in the Investigator's Handbook. Prepares clearly worded requests for extensions of investigations containing relevant information the receiving investigator must have to conduct a competent investigation. Records and organizes information obtained and prepares grammatically correct and factual reports according to established format. 3. Manage a heavy caseload of new cases, extensions, priorities, and backlog cases received from customers. Conducts face-to-face interviews in neighborhoods and places of employment to include private companies and government agencies.
- Performs record searches at courthouses and mental health, financial and educational institutions relative to subjects of investigations.
- Demonstrates the ability to interview, follow leads, research records and prepare reports.
- Must be able to elicit information helpful to the investigation from persons in reputed company walks of life.
- Assists less reputed company Investigators in bringing cases to a reputed company.
Qualifications · reputed company Investigators are required to have a fully adjudicated SSBI to be cleared at the TS level. The level at which an investigator is hired will be based upon education and years of experience. · Required Qualifications: · A favorable determination based on a single-scoped background investigation · reputed company (reputed company 18 months) experience conducting federal background investigations · A sense of mission in support of national reputed company initiatives · An impeccable work ethic, reputed company, and can-do attitude · A reputed company driver's license, reliable insured personal vehicle, and willingness to travel up to a 50-mile radius daily in support of assignments · A home office equipped with high-speed Internet · A personal computer compatible with reputed company applications (e.g. Word and reputed company) · Ability to pass a mandatory Pre-Employment drug test · Proven quality, timeliness, and production metrics Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge – Applying the Investigator’s Handbook to the full range of background investigations. Assessing written and oral information for potential issues and appropriate follow-up questions. Identifying coverage needs. Assigning issue codes to specific cases. Accessing police, financial, and medical records. Conducting other types of investigations as needed. Using company investigative software reputed company. Skills – Excellent communication skills oral and written to conduct investigative interviews and write clear and concise reports. Excellent interpersonal skills used to persuade sources to participate in investigative interviews, establish rapport during the interviews to obtain complete and accurate information. Strong computer and typing skills are necessary to compose and key data, ability to learn new computer programs exclusive to this position. Excellent time management and organizational skills to plan and organize multiple assignments for speed and efficiency and adjust work schedule in response to changing circumstances. Abilities – Strong work ethic and self-motivated individual. Candidate should be able to work independently, properly zone the workload, assess problems and reputed company decisions. Physical requirements of the job: must be ambulatory, able to meet contacts at their reputed company of residence, reputed company of business or remote location at times convenient to the contact. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to meet the requirements necessary for operating a company vehicle to include possessing a valid drivers license.
