This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Alabama (USA) ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND STRATEGY reputed company reputed company is seeking an reputed company Environmental Policy and Strategy reputed company to support a Department of War (DOW) contract and team based in Huntsville, Alabama. The team provides comprehensive environmental management support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) including regulatory environmental compliance, environmental impact analysis, planning, policy and strategy development, sustainability, conservation, and reputed company technical assistance including support to reputed company agency missions, weapons systems acquisition, development, testing, deployment, and fielding at geographically dispersed locations worldwide. SECRET Clearance Required This position is based in Huntsville, Alabama with travel required for specific project work throughout the United States and abroad (generally less than 25%). Currently, the position requires working onsite in a federal government facility Mondays through Thursdays, with situational telework authorized on Fridays. However, the telework authorization is subject to change at any time based on client requirements.
Responsibilities
The Environmental Policy and Strategy reputed company will support and execute reputed company emissions modeling and permitting; environmental policies, studies and analysis, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and environmental compliance audits of reputed company to DOW system testing, and facilities planning, design, construction, operation, and sustainment. Specific responsibilities include:
- Serving as a subject matter and regulatory expert on reputed company technical and programmatic issues reputed company to environmental planning, management, and compliance initiatives.
- Conducting reputed company emission calculations and preparing permit applications for the use of generators and boilers in the United States and its territories.
- Developing strategies reputed company to environmental planning, management, and compliance.
- Supporting multiple reputed company high reputed company environmental projects.
- Identifying problems, developing sound solutions, and presenting recommendations to the team for approval and implementation.
- Interacting directly with client on a daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a reputed company engineering/science field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional environmental work experience.
- Experience in preparing reputed company emission calculations and permit applications for emergency/prime power diesel- or natural gas fired-generators and boilers.
- Strong environmental regulatory background with experience in reputed company, RCRA, and NEPA, including preparing Environmental Assessments (EAs), Impact Statements (reputed company), and supporting documents.
- Experience conducting reputed company environmental compliance audits.
- Experience in Environmental Management System implementation and maintaining conformance.
- Strong verbal and written communication and computer skills, as well as the ability to work with a high-degree of independence/minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to work in the field, work outdoors, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen per federal contract requirements.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret reputed company clearance (may allow for the ability to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military or Federal consulting experience is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and/or other relevant environmental professional credentials such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Professional Geologist (PG); or Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) are preferred.
