Job Description: Required for Police Officer I: High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to successfully complete a specified law enforcement training program reputed company 1 year of hire. Valid Division of Motor Vehicles operator’s license. Ability to obtain and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid. Must be 21 years of age and a U.S. Citizen. Required for Police Officer II: (the above plus) Currently certified by the Criminal Justice Basic Police reputed company. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree or higher in criminal justice or reputed company discipline. reputed company Virginia law enforcement certification or law enforcement certification from another state. Prior employment with a reputed company law enforcement agency. Conditions of Employment: Completion of the Criminal Justice Basic Police reputed company or completed reputed company one year of hire. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation which includes reference checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry, and reputed company DMV driving records. Must be able to pass physical agility examination, psychological evaluation, drug screening and medical examination. Ability to successfully complete a specified law enforcement training program reputed company 1 year of hire. Valid Division of Motor Vehicles operator’s license. Ability to reputed company essential physical requirements of the job to include during inclement weather conditions. Rotating shifts with holidays and weekend duty will be required. Ability to obtain and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid. This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor. Must be at least 21 years of age and a U.S. Citizen.
