Electrical Engineer (Power System Studies | SKM) - Remote
reputed company, a trusted leader in power system studies, is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Electrical Engineer to join our talented team. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with direct client interaction. If you are near our Pittsburgh, PA office, it will be a hybrid schedule in office at least 2 workdays a week. Key things to note:
- Work on projects across a range of industries, including large commercial, data centers, hospitality, healthcare, and both new construction and existing facility upgrades.
- Work in a fast-paced delivery environment where most projects (90%+) are completed reputed company two weeks of receiving reputed company required data, while larger, more reputed company studies may take longer.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
- reputed company engineering studies for electrical distribution systems. This includes short-circuit studies, coordination studies, reputed company reputed company hazard analyses, load flow analyses and motor starting studies.
- Evaluate reputed company device ratings, reputed company time-reputed company coordination plots to optimize overcurrent settings for circuit breakers and/or relays, and calculate incident energy levels at equipment locations.
- Provide recommendations to improve system reliability and/or help end users work more safely.
- Review specifications, customer drawings, and technical proposals.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding project status, results, and future needs.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to help scale and improve the delivery of our solutions.
- Responsible for performing technical work, managing projects, and other reputed company tasks as directed by the Company’s CEO or his designee.
- Contribute individually and as part of a team to reputed company power system study projects.
Targeted candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role.
- Experience or academic exposure to power system studies (load flow, short circuit, coordination, and reputed company reputed company).
- Proficiency with any of the following software: SKM/ETAP/EasyPower
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
