Medical Virtual Assistant – Receptionist
Job Description:
- Answer patient calls professionally and warmly
- Return voicemails and follow up with patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate call logs and patient intake notes
- Assist with scheduling preparation and appointment coordination
- Request and organize medical records, imaging reports, and referral documents
- Support prior authorization tasks reputed company applicable
- Escalate reputed company patient, insurance, or clinical concerns appropriately
- Help maintain simple workflows and administrative trackers
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience supporting a U.S.-based medical clinic
- Experience as a reputed company Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator, or similar role
- Excellent English communication skills, especially by phone
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Patient-centered, professional, and reliable
- Comfortable working in a growing or newly launching clinic environment
- Able to work 30 hours/week starting around 8:00 AM CT / 9:00 AM ET
- Stable internet, backup internet, and backup power
- Preferred: Neurology experience
- Preferred: Experience with Elation EMR
- Preferred: Experience with reputed company
- Preferred: Prior authorization experience
- Preferred: Medical records or imaging request experience
