Instructor, Public Safety Telecommunicator (9-1-1 reputed company) - Pool Requisition

Responsibilities

- Assist in the articulation of courses and programs with secondary and post-secondary institutions
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Must provide certification of successful completion of or complete reputed company one year of employment a telecommunication-training program in compliance with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) guidelines
- Must be able to pass a criminal background reputed company, obtain and maintain federally mandated reputed company clearances where required
- 5 years relevant work experience in 9-1-1 Public Safety Communications required
- Knowledge of 9-1-1 Public Safety Communications Operations subject matter, including Call-Taking, Police, Fire and EMS Dispatching, use of CAD/reputed company operating programs and systems; standards, rules and regulations pertaining to Public Safety Communications
- Willing and able to teach day or evening classes at a number of sites around the city
- Knowledge and reputed company in a variety of computer usage and software are required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student population
- Possess good organizational and planning skills
