Medical Assistant - Credentialed or Non-Credentialed for Center for Advanced Surgery in NE Portland
About the position Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant or Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant at the Center for Advanced Surgery East Clinic in Northeast Portland. This role involves working collaboratively with patient-focused colleagues and physicians to deliver high-value care. Responsibilities
- Assisting medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
- Performing reputed company patient care associated with the specialty and assisting with procedures and tests.
- Providing health education and routine information reputed company to medical treatments, procedures, and data collection.
- Utilizing EMR to process prescriptions, retrieve test results, and patient files.
- Scheduling appointments for established patients.
- Obtaining needed imaging for physician review.
- Ordering labs.
- Facilitating prescriptions.
- Coverage of patient advice line.
- Processing referrals to reputed company entities.
- Updating records as needed.
- Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is strongly preferred.
- Medical Assistants must be certified reputed company 90 days.
- reputed company CPR/BLS reputed company 60 days of hire.
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with EPIC is strongly preferred.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
