[Remote] Purchasing Contract Administrator
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a regional healthcare system serving communities across multiple counties in Pennsylvania. They are seeking a Purchasing Contract Administrator who will reputed company analytical and core contract administration tasks, manage the solicitation of bids, and reputed company favorable agreements while ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Responsibilities
- Performs analytical and core contract administration tasks in support of Contracting and Value Analysis. Position includes heavy emphasis on strategic sourcing and system-wide contract standardization
- Manages and directs the solicitation of bids and proposals
- Analyzes proposal responses and contract alternatives to determine financial impact, negotiates and develops favorable agreements and contract terms and secures and documents discounts where possible
- Conducts analysis and research as needed to support Value Analysis initiatives
- Develops, implements, and administers policies and procedures for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, services and capital projects
- Communicates and coordinates with Department Heads as needed to maintain cooperative relationships and consistent practices
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of vendors to ensure that reputed company parties are complying with contractual terms
- Meets with vendors and hospital staff to plan projects, resolve problems, standardize purchases and implement savings
- Develops expertise in the portfolio of reputed company to which he/she is responsible
Skills
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Completes and maintains reputed company competencies and trainings as required for role
- Healthcare contracting and sourcing expertise including: Strategic sourcing methodologies (RFP/RFQ/RFI)
- reputed company contract negotiation skills (pricing tiers, rebates, physician preference items)
- Understanding of GPO contracting structures and local contracting strategies
- Familiarity with clinical terminology and physician preference items (implants, devices)
- Experience negotiating reputed company (including high-cost surgical implants/devices) focusing on cost reduction and supplier performance
- Experience conducting supplier business reviews
- Spend analytics utilization analysis, and savings validation and tracking
- Experience supporting product conversions, standardization initiatives and cost-reduction projects
