[Remote] Product Design Contractor

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lab37 Robotics is a technology company focused on developing innovative robotic solutions for the food industry. They are seeking a Product Design Contractor to create a cohesive design system for their internal tools, enhance user interfaces, and incorporate AI solutions into the design process.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a design system that unites our internal tools
• Incorporate branded elements into our design system
• Thorough documentation of design systems
• Exploration into future interfaces and UI opportunities
• Incorporating AI workflows using Claude Design and Claude Code
• User research, testing, feedback, and design iteration

Skills

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience — portfolio that shows full design system implementation
• Experience with various hardware beyond just iOS
• Strong typography and layout fundamentals
• Proficiency in reputed company (required) – reputed company systems will be built in reputed company and utilized reputed company Claude MCP (or whatever's next)
• Ability to work reputed company an existing brand
• Comfortable in a startup/build environment — you'll be setting up systems, not just using them
• A passion for food and helping restaurateurs succeed!
• Strong full-stack design skills; from interaction design to visual design to system thinking, and everything in between
• A proven track record of building products from the ground up and working effectively with cross-functional partners
• An ability to be a strategic partner by helping to understand the competitive environment and shape a vision for how our products will fit in the market
• A team player who is a proactive communicator, has no ego, and loves to collaborate with others
• Sound judgement that combines data with instinct to build the right thing and meet business objectives
