[Remote] Senior Tax Accountant - Coker James

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will reputed company reputed company tax engagements, mentor team members, and enhance client relationships while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reputed company individual and business tax returns, including multi-state compliance
• Identify and apply appropriate book-to-tax adjustments, leveraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• reputed company tax research efforts and apply guidance to client-specific scenarios
• Support advanced tax planning and advisory engagements
• Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation reputed company for clients
• Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Communicate reputed company accounting and tax matters in a clear, client-friendly manner
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members
• Ensure deliverables meet firm standards, policies, and deadlines
• Support onboarding and training of new hires
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting and tax workflows
• Contribute to documentation, standardization, and best practices
• Support firm leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a reputed company field required
• 5+ years of combined public accounting and tax experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles
• Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring and developing team members
• Strong analytical thinking and sound professional judgment
• High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Master's in Tax or an MBA with a tax concentration preferred
• Experience with the CCH Axcess suite strongly preferred
