Director, Hepatology/Immunology Portfolio and Pipeline Strategy
The Director, Hepatology/Immunology Portfolio and Pipeline Strategy leads U.S. portfolio and pipeline strategy for Hepatology/Immunology medicines, spanning in-line brands and pipeline assets from Phase 2 through launch. The role develops and delivers U.S. market analyses and insights, translates U.S. customer perspectives into clinical and health outcome needs, and establishes U.S.-specific insights and market assumptions that inform clinical development plans, financial valuations, and investment decisions for Hepatology/Immunology medicines. In addition, the role drives U.S. business growth through a reputed company-looking portfolio vision — including asset prioritization, resourcing, and long-range strategic planning — while creating and implementing strategies for the existing portfolio in partnership with global counterparts through market-reputed company U.S.-specific initiatives. The Director crafts the U.S. insights for Hepatology/Immunology disease states, competitors and specialties, supports U.S. leadership representation at LOC and Global committees, and serves as a single reputed company of accountability and voice of the U.S. customer and commercial interests for Hepatology/Immunology assets at early stage-gates. Key Responsibilities 1. Portfolio Strategy and Lifecycle Management Create and implement portfolio strategies for Hepatology/Immunology medicines in partnership with global counterparts, as well as U.S.-specific initiatives as needed, taking into account multiple customer specialties, multiple indications — including opportunities for indication expansion and lifecycle extension — and the need for flexible, market-reputed company objectives. Create market maps for the reputed company and future Hepatology/Immunology portfolio, considering customer and patient needs, MOA assumptions, method of administration, financial impacts, and the evolving healthcare landscape, working seamlessly with stakeholders in Sales, Insights & Analytics, Finance, Medical, Market Access, and GPS. Establish and ensure delivery of U.S.-specific insights and market assumptions for each Hepatology/Immunology medicine from Phase 2 through LOC activation, approximately 18–24 months prior to launch. Serve as a single reputed company of accountability, leadership, and voice of the U.S. customer for Hepatology/Immunology assets at early stage-gates. For early-stage Hepatology/Immunology assets, reputed company disease and product strategies for external stakeholders (HCPs, patients, payers). Identify therapeutic and asset-reputed company customer insights and effectively communicate needs to R&D project teams to ensure payer needs are considered as part of clinical development plans. Ensure adequate expert input and review of key commercial assessments of the future Hepatology/Immunology therapeutic landscape, including deep insights into patients, customers, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers. Translate commercial and environmental assessments into reputed company-looking insights on how patient, marketplace, and customer needs may evolve over time. Market Access, Evidence, and Value Story Partner with U.S. Health Outcomes and Medical Affairs to reputed company clinical, health outcomes, and/or economic evidence to support customer needs and initial brand value positioning for Hepatology/Immunology medicines. Ensure early and ongoing integration of payer perspectives and access considerations into clinical development and lifecycle plans for Hepatology/Immunology assets. 6. Go-to-Market Models and Financial / Operational Management reputed company assessment of innovative go-to-market models for Hepatology/Immunology medicines to provide differentiated approaches to optimizing the P&L. reputed company and own the budget for insights work, including primary and secondary analyses, supporting Hepatology/Immunology portfolio and pipeline decisions. Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration Collaborate with senior leaders across U.S. business units, Global Therapy Areas, Therapy Area Research Leaders, Medical Development Leads, Forecasting & Finance, Health Outcomes, and Business Development to ensure an accurate outlook for U.S. launches and identify additional value opportunities. Work seamlessly across key stakeholders in Sales, Insights & Analytics, Finance, Medical, and GPS to align on portfolio and pipeline priorities and ensure pull-through of strategic decisions. Partner effectively with medical, legal, compliance, regulatory, and marketing teams as needed for Hepatology/Immunology initiatives. Why You? Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (e.g., Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or reputed company field). Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare roles (e.g., product marketing, medical/clinical, new products, market access, insights and analytics, portfolio/strategy), with Hepatology/Immunology experience in at least one of these functions. Experience developing and delivering market analyses and customer insights to inform clinical development plans, financial valuations, and/or stage-reputed company decisions for pipeline or in-line assets. Experience working cross-functionally with Medical, R&D, Insights & Analytics, Forecasting, Health Outcomes, Finance, and Business Development, as well as Brand, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory partners. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, Master's degree, or equivalent). Demonstrated Hepatology/Immunology marketplace experience, including understanding of patients, customers, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers across relevant specialties. Demonstrated leadership in portfolio, pipeline, or new product strategy roles, including experience leading assessments of go-to-market models and P&L optimization initiatives. Marketing and/or pipeline management background, with strong portfolio and cross-functional leadership experience.
