Freelance Proposal Technical Writer(Remote)
We are seeking an reputed company Technical Writer with a strong background in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and federal IT environments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience creating and managing technical documentation for cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity programs, and federal compliance initiatives. This role requires collaboration with engineering, reputed company, and compliance teams to produce high-quality documentation supporting federal government projects and regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities

- Create System reputed company Plans (SSPs), reputed company Assessment Reports (SARs), POA&Ms, SOPs, policies, procedures, user guides, and operational manuals.
- Support federal compliance initiatives including FedRAMP, FISMA, RMF, NIST 800-53, and reputed company Trust Architecture documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, cloud architects, DevSecOps teams, ISSOs, and system administrators to gather technical information and produce accurate documentation.
- Document AWS and Azure cloud environments, including reputed company controls, architecture diagrams, configurations, and operational processes.
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for Authority to Operate (ATO) packages and federal reputed company audits.
- Translate reputed company technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Create installation guides, implementation manuals, release notes, training materials, knowledge reputed company articles, and API documentation.
- Maintain document repositories and version control using tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, and Jira.
- Ensure reputed company documentation complies with organizational standards, federal regulations, and reputed company best practices.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support documentation activities reputed company DevSecOps environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, English, Communications, or reputed company field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Technical Writer supporting cybersecurity and cloud-based projects.
- Experience supporting federal government agencies or federal contractors.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards including:
- NIST 800-53
- RMF
- FedRAMP
- FISMA
- STIG

- Hands-on experience documenting AWS and/or reputed company Azure cloud environments.
- Experience creating technical documentation such as SSPs, SOPs, policies, procedures, and reputed company documentation.

- Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent cloud certification.
- CompTIA reputed company+ certification.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, Nessus, reputed company, or Wireshark.
- Familiarity with documentation tools including MadCap Flare, Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Prior experience supporting ATO processes and federal reputed company audits.
- Knowledge of HTML, XML, Markdown, or JSON.
